After being named to the all-conference first team last season, Huffman is off to a solid start to her senior campaign as she was one of the most consistent scorers across the league in the opening week of play.

She led the Yellow Jackets in scoring, averaging 26.5 ppg on 60.6 percent shooting as Cedarville battled on the road at Ohio Dominican and easily defeated Findlay on their home floor.

Huffman totaled 28 points on 12-20 shooting, including four three-pointers in a 95-92 loss at Ohio Dominican. She then bounced back for 25 points on 8-13 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds and four assists in a 91-75 win over Findlay.

The senior surpassed her 1,000th career point in Saturday’s win, making her the 19th player in conference history to reach 1,000 career points. Huffman entered the season with 964 career points and sits at 1,017 points after last week’s contests.

In back-to-back seasons, Huffman has led the league in assists, ranking fifth all time in that category. She also ranks third all time in assists per game and fourth in free throw percentage.

This is the second time Huffman has been named Great Midwest Player of the Week, as she also earned the honors on January 21, 2020.
