Holden was under par in both rounds at the Cedarville Invitational, finishing with a tournament score of 142 (-2) to earn an individual victory and contribute to a team win.
The Panthers won by eight strokes in the 36-hole event over runner-up Tiffin. From the Great Midwest, Cedarville was third, Ohio Valley fifth and Lake Erie sixth, as the fall season winds down to a close.
Holden held off Tiffin’s David Siegel by three shots for the medalist win while being supported in the top 10 by Ben Herman (tie for third) and Dalton Crowley (tie for eighth).
Holden came into his junior season at Ohio Dominican in 10th all-time among Great Midwest scoring average leaders (75.12).
In the shortened 2019-20 season, Holden led the Panthers with a 74.43 scoring average through 14 rounds. He has a pair of top 5 finishes already this season.
Holden’s season scoring average is now at 73.86, among the top 20 in current conference leaders. ODU previous won at the MVNU Fall Cougar Classic and competed at the Tiffin-hosted Kyle Ryman Memorial Invitational.
ODU still has two more events in the queue for the fall with the IU-East Tee-Off two weekends out in Liberty, Ind. This is his second conference career weekly honor.
