After leading the Yellow Jackets in scoring average in a shortened 2019-20 campaign, Cogdill tied for medalist honors at the Malone-Glenmoor Invitational to start his junior season on a high note.
The junior had a 76.38 scoring average through six events last year while recording one top-10 finish.
Cogdill matched his career best round twice in his season-opening effort, posting rounds of 71 (-1) in the first and third rounds.
Cogdill finished with a 54-hole tournament score of 218 at Glenmoor CC in Canton and tied Gannon’s Connor Bennink for top honors at the end of regulation to force a playoff.
His 218 would tie the Cedarville program’s fourth-best score in school history and the Yellow Jackets went on to finish fourth as a team in the standings. He currently leads the conference in scoring average with a 72.7 per-18.
Cedarville will be back on the links next Monday at the Findlay Fall Invitational for a two-day tournament.
