With four Great Midwest teams competing, the newcomer Adi captured top singles flight title and helped deliver a doubles bracket victory at the Charger Invitational on Sunday.
Adi came out on top of the No. 1 singles matchups which included Findlay’s Soh Kuyama, Walsh’s Jacob Riglewski and Hillsdale’s Brennan Cimpeanu.
Adi won in three sets against Cimpeanu in the first round, rebounding from a second-set setback for a 6-3, 3-6, 10-5, win.
After Riglewski beat Kuyama in straight sets, Adi had enough left in the tank for another three-set win.
This time he had to dig in deep after dropping the first set, 4-6. He rallied for 7-5 and 10-8 decisions to clinch the title and match.
Slotted at No. 3 doubles with partner Hugo Chatras, the Dragons enjoyed a pair of wins against Walsh and Hillsdale. Adi and Chatras won 7-5 and 6-2, respectively.
Tiffin is slated for one more fall contest scheduled later this month against Lourdes on the 26th.
