The Dragons scored a pair of regional victories, bringing down Ashland and Ferris State from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, by 4-3 scores.
The freshman produced some big moments while being responsible for the winning points in both matchups. Each of those contests from the No. 6 position in singles also went to the third set.
Against Ashland, he defeated Jacob Hoffman 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, before defeating Ferris State's Cedric Rupa, 6-3, 1-6, 6-1.
He also paired with Matthew Telford for a 6-3 doubles victory against Ferris State, ranked fifth in the Midwest Region by the ITA.
