The target is on Gwinner’s back after winning the national title in high jump as a freshman.
With the auto qualifying height for nationals at 1.75m, Gwinner is just one of four in the Division II ranks to have met that tough mark.
Gwinner remains in a tie for first as the top seed (1.76m) along with Franklin Pierce’s Paola Brena and Saginaw Valley State’s Cheyenne Williamson.
Gwinner has cleared 1.76m (5’ 9.25”) two times this season, including over the weekend at the Silverston Invitational. The other time was at the Tiffin Alumni Open back in mid December.
