Against the No. 8 ranked team in the country, McGill brought his best stuff to the table to baffle North Greenville in the Panthers’ second game of the spring.
McGill recorded 10 strikeouts in just four innings of work, giving his team a chance to win after giving way to the pen with an eventual no-decision.
He faced 18 hitters and allowed two runs on four hits vs. North Greenville, which reached the NCAA Super Regionals in 2019.
McGill made an impressive transition to starter from reliever after making 12 appearances with a 4.38 ERA.
The sophomore averaged close to a strikeout per inning as a freshman and was credited with one save.
