Fisher did it all against a program that will be classified as Division I next year as the Oilers swept Bellarmine with an impressive season-opening series in Louisville.
In her first turn through the rotation this season, Fisher tossed a seven inning complete game effort against the Knights in game one of Sunday’s doubleheader.
The junior went the distance for all seven innings and gave up a pair of unearned runs while recording a pair of strikeouts.
She was staked to a four-run lead by the fifth inning and Findlay finished strong for a 5-2 win.
Fisher helped her own cause with the bat, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI. She batted cleanup in the second game and homered, putting a 2-for-3 line in the box score with two runs and two RBI.
The 2-0 Oilers will take the field next on Friday in Rosemont, Ill., vs. McKendree and Winona State.
