Trevecca senior MaKray Odom, a two-time Great Midwest Player of the Year and NFCA All-American, began her final campaign in style.
For the weekend, Odom went 11-16 (.688), by collecting 13 total bases, scoring eight runs and driving in three more. The shortstop stole three bases helping guide the Trojans to a 4-0 weekend at the UAH Invitational in Huntsville, AL which included a two-game sweep over #18 Alabama-Huntsville.
Odom enters the 2020 season as the Trojans and Great Midwest’s career leader in batting average with a chance to break and then hold even more records throughout the year.
Odom stands just 32 hits away from the Trevecca all-time record which is fifth-most in the league. By stealing 49 more bases this season, Odom will own both the Trevecca and G-MAC mark for stolen bags. If Odom can touch home 35 more times she’ll own the G-MAC runs scored record as well.
