It was just a matter of time before the 2019 All-American claimed the conference record and Marable did it in short order at the Penn State National Open.
Marable officially overtook former Oiler George Effah at the top, running to a 46.91 in the 400-meter dash over the weekend.
Marable has five of the top 10 times in conference history in the event after earning several individual league awards from his freshman campaign.
Marable also contributed to a top 10 conference mark in the 4x400 relay with Lane Kolb, Nick Rice and Gabin Stepansky. The foursome ranks fourth following their time 3:18.48 and was a provisional qualifying mark.
