Cooper-Laylor recorded a trio of runner-up performances at the Tiffin Dragon Open, her team’s first event of the new calendar year.
Cooper-Laylor matched her PR with a provisional qualifying 7.64 in the 60-meter dash finals, tying her own mark for the second fastest in conference history. She also ran a 7.64 in her last meet entered in, the Tiffin Alumni Open.
Cooper-Laylor had won the preliminary heat with a time of 7.69, another time that will go down as a top 10 mark.
Additionally, the sprinter showed off her speed in the 200-meter dash, finishing second in 25.96.
In the 4x400 relay, Tiffin and Cooper-Laylor finished second behind a foursome from Lake Erie by less than two seconds.
