Wiese made a bit of history in the win against Kentucky Wesleyan on Friday. With her 13th dig, coming late in the second set, she became Hillsdale's all-time leader in digs.
Her 19 digs in that match gave her 2,141 for her career, breaking the old record of 2,134, held by Megan Howard, who played her entire career in the 30-point rally score era from 2004-07.
She was again brilliant in the championship match, recording 34, which is a single-match high among all players in the conference this season.
Wiese previously had 33 in the regular season along with Tiffin’s Sam Fallis, as they went head-to-head in the championship showdown.
The senior also reached the 30-dig mark in the first round of the conference playoffs against Malone.
On the week, Wiese averaged 7.54 digs per set. She was the league leader with 6.09 oon the season.
