Peters had a huge week with three goals in two games for the Cavaliers as the regular season ended and the playoffs started.
In both games, the senior forward had scores of the game-winning variety, lifting her team to victory over rival Malone and in the postseason vs. Kentucky Wesleyan.
Peters scored in the early and late stages for Walsh to end the regular season on a high note. Her first goal came in just the third minute play and she gave her team a 2-0 lead with about six minutes left on the clock.
Peters finished with five shots, all five on target.
It took a little bit longer for the offense to get going on Saturday, but Peters broke through the Panthers’ defense for the game’s lone goal in the 79th minute.
Eight of her team best 10 goals have been game winners, a sign of her ability to really deliver in the clutch. She ranks third in the league in points (26) and is tied for fourth in goals.
