Schroeder wasn't fazed by the high level of competition she faced in the Shippensburg Tournament as the Cavaliers went 2-1.
Similar to Hillsdale, only a five-set outcome prevented Walsh from starting the year undefeated.
Schroeder went out and promptly led all conference players in digs per set against Kutztown, Shippensburg and Slippery Rock, a trio of PSAC schools.
In 12 sets, Schroeder tallied 62 digs for an average of 5.17 per set. Her offensive contributions were just as notable as she finished with three kills per game and had eight assists and four service aces.
Schroeder had 28 digs to go with 17 kills in the five-set final against Shippensburg. She also had a double-double vs. Kutztown with 10 kills and 16 digs.
She just missed her third straight falling one kill shy vs. Slippery Rock while totaling 18 digs.
