Caruso was an offensive force to be reckoned with as she proved to be a matchup nightmare against Walsh and Tiffin in the conference playoffs.
Caruso had eight points in the Findlay semifinal victory over the Cavaliers, netting six goals and a pair of assists. She was also credited with one ground ball.
Now a two-time all-conference performer (second team as a junior, first team a senior), Caruso played a key role in driving the Oilers to conference glory.
Caruso put home the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal against Tiffin late in the second half for the eventual 9-8 Findlay win.
Caruso also came through in the clutch right before halftime, scoring as time expired to keep Findlay within striking distance down 6-4.
The senior found a gap in the defense and darted in with a quick flick of the wrist with 3:34 left on the clock. The Oilers defense took over from there and kept the Dragons off the scoreboard as they tried to rally back.
