In an elite heat to say the least, Koch-Johnson automatically qualified for nationals out in California at the Bryan Clay Invitational in her signature event.
Koch-Johnson flew to a time of 2:06.94 in the 800-meter run to finish 15th in a very competitive national field.
She was third among Division II competitors and currently ranks fourth nationally in the event.
Koch-Johnson will take aim at her third national title this spring in the 800; she was indoor All-American in the same event earlier this calendar year.
Koch-Johnson earned outdoor honors for the second time in five weeks this season.
