Roberson handcuffed Cedarville for a complete-game nine-inning shutout to start a Thursday doubleheader.
In a 3-0 TNU win, the Trojans’ southpaw pitched a five-hitter and recorded seven strikeouts. He walked none and faced five batters over the minimum.
Roberson received some run support in the sixth inning, but he retired six straight hitters in order to get things started.
A runner didn’t reach scoring position against him until the seventh inning and he coaxed a pair of double plays to get out of relatively minor trouble.
Roberson picked up his team-leading sixth winning decision and brought his ERA down to 3.31 in 10 starts this spring.
