For the third time this spring, Hillard was selected for conference player of the week honors with a monster two-game showcase in league play against Lake Erie.
The senior outfielder continued to feature his power and speed he hit .500 (7-14) and with three extra-base hits including a pair of home runs and a double.
Hillard also scored six runs and was credited with nine RBI in just three games. He also walked twice.
The Panthers continue to be contenders for the regular-season conference championship and are currently tied for third in the standings with Walsh.
In Monday’s doubleheader on the road against Lake Erie, Hillard went 3-for-4 in game one with four RBI. He ripped a three-run blast in the top of the first inning to help get the Panthers on the board first in a 12-9 win.
His next at-bat was a single and he had another RBI single in the fifth inning. Continuing to bat out of the No. 3 slot in the lineup in game two, Hillard crushed a grand slam in the fourth inning as part of a seven-run frame.
Hillard is now batting a healthy .362 with 44 runs, six homers, 12 doubles and a pair of triples.
