Brown was the medalist at the Ohio Dominican-hosted Bill Blazer Memorial at Cumberland Trail in Pataskala, Ohio.
Brown helped the Pioneers earn a team title with an impressive two-round score of 139 (-5) going into the conference championship.
The junior fired a first-round score of 74 before going low with a 65 (-7) for the second-best round in the conference this season.
Malone’s second-round team score of 289 also is one of the top 18-hole scoring rounds ranking in the top 25 in conference history.
It was also a new career-best round for Brown, who recorded a 66 (-6) back in 2016 at the Cleveland State Invitational. The all-time conference record is a 64 shared by Trevecca Nazarene’s Larken Whittemore and Ohio Valley’s Adam O’Hara.
Brown has sported a team-leading 74.33 scoring average through 18 rounds and eight events. Two of his three top-10 finishes have been for medalist position. He currently ranks 12th in the Great Midwest in single-round scoring.
