Byers was in ace form as the Pioneers went 3-1 over the past week against Findlay and Davis & Elkins, while appearing in all four contests.
The freshman carried an impressive 1.04 ERA in 27 innings pitched while recording 20 strikeouts.
She fired a one-hit shutout in the opening game against D&E while fanning six. Byers also went the distance in close one-run winning decisions against Findlay.
Byers ended her strong weekend with an extra-innings effort with seven strikeouts. In 23 games, Byers is now 15-6 overall with a 2.52 ERA and a conference-leading 121 strikeouts.
Byers and her sister, Bailey, now have both been selected for conference weekly honors in their first years playing for Malone this spring.
