Bebout was virtually untouchable in a 15-strikeout shutout gem he hurled against Ohio Valley as the Cavaliers won a four-game series over the Fighting Scots.
The senior righty faced just five batters over the minimum as he scattered five hits over nine innings and walked just one in the shutout effort.
The 15 strikeouts is the league’s highest number for the current season and tied for the second-most in Great Midwest history (18 for KWC’s Matt Pobereyko in 2015).
Bebout struck out the side in the seventh inning and retired six straight on punchouts as the Cavaliers’ bats backed him up with nine runs on 11 hits.
The 6-3, 225-pounder improved to 2-1 on the season with a 3.38 ERA. He has five starts under his belt and sports 27 strikeouts in 32 innings pitched.
