Sekowski helped the Battlers win an abbreviated series against Davis & Elkins and grab three out of four contests from Cedarville while getting a hit in seven straight games.
Sekowski flashed the five-tool talent with five extra-base hits, including three doubles and a pair of home runs, while going 10-for-21 at the plate.
He also swiped four bases, touched home plate six times and drove in 12, tied for the league lead over the past week with Avery Janning of Walsh.
Sekowski homered in game two of a doubleheader sweep over Davis & Elkins as part of a 2-for-4 effort.
The senior started the Cedarville series on a high note with a 3-for-4 game 1 showing. He doubled twice and recorded three RBI. He second home run of the week was in the series finale against the Yellow Jackets.
Sekowski earned his first conference player of the week selection. He has previously been the Great Midwest Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week two different times in his career.
The Battlers are now third in the conference standings at 9-5 as Sekowski leads his team in hitting (.347) and RBI (22) while being tied for the team lead in doubles, home runs and hits.
