In a four-game set against Alderson Broaddus, Hillard helped the Panthers salvage a series split by batting .615 (8-for-13) over the weekend.
Hillard had nine RBI and scored eight runs while ripping four extra-base hits, including three home runs. He walked five times, stole a base and doubled once.
He homered and walked twice in the series opener while going 2-for-3 at the plate. ODU won both of Sunday’s games as Hillard enjoyed a monster day at the dish.
In game one, Hillard had seven RBI and launched a pair of home runs while going 4-for-5. He belted a three-run blast in his first at-bat and homered in the second inning, a two-run shot.
In 21 games, Hillard is now batting .387 to go with 21 RBI, 27 runs, 29 hits and 13 extra-base hits.
This is Hillard’s second conference player of the week honor for the current season.
