The Trevecca freshman Jackson helped the Trojans complete a three-game sweep of Montevallo on opening weekend with seven shutout innings in his first career start.
In the nightcap of the Trojans doubleheader against the Falcons, Jackson struck out seven, by only allowing a single hit to help the Trojans improve to 3-0 on the season.
Before Jackson took the mound in the first, the Trojans built him a 5-0 lead, led by Dalton Mauldin’s two-RBI single and RBI singles from Javier Lopez and Trey Vanderpool.
Carson McClure and Hunter Davis combined for two innings of relief and surrendered just a single hit between them, striking out two in the win.
Trevecca has now won four consecutive games against Montevallo and plays host to Lewis University in regional action for a three-game series this weekend.
