At the Tom Hathaway Distance Classic, Plante won the pentathlon as she accumulated 3,376 points to provisionally qualify for nationals.
She won the high jump and shot put competitions while placing second in the 60-meter hurdles, third in the 800-meter run and fourth in long jump.
Her point total for all five events ranks fifth best in conference history.
Plante also was dangerously close to breaking the conference high jump record, set earlier this year by Tiffin rookie Marisa Gwinner (1.73m). Plante cleared 1.72m (5’ 7.75”) for the second-best height clearance in Great Midwest history.
Plante’s height is tied for the eighth best among all Division II student-athletes this year and her point total is currently ranked at No. 19 nationally.
