Irvine provisionally qualified in the 60-meter hurdles with an impressive showing at the Marty Pushkin Open in Morgantown, WV.
The junior clocked provisional marks in both his preliminary and finals attempts, winning both heats of the event.
He crossed the line in 8.20 seconds in his preliminary try while winning the finals in 8.22. Irvine is currently tied for 16th nationally among all runners in Division II.
In previous action during his junior season, Irvine competed at the Marietta First Glimpse in the 200-meter dash, 55-meter hurdles and 4x400-meter relay.
At 6-3, 180 pounds, Irvine has also excelled in jumps during his time in the Great Midwest. He has been an all-conference performer in the 110-meter hurdles and high jump while receiving all-freshman team accolades.
