TNU pitched its 10th shutout of the season against No. 7 seed Davis & Elkins in the conference tournament quarterfinals.
In the regular-season finale, the Trojans sewed up the No. 2 seed in the eight-team bracket with a 3-1 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan.
The decisive blow from Schlosser’s foot against Kentucky Wesleyan split a 1-1 tie in the 67th minute of regulation. It represented her fifth goal of the season and she also assisted Madison Carby’s score about eight minutes later.
Schlosser again was a problematic matchup against Davis & Elkins as she found the net, her sixth goal of the year, for the go-ahead score in the 25th minute of the first half.
The Trojans improved to 13-3-2 overall on the season going into Thursday’s game.
