After falling in the first set 25-12, the Cavaliers made one of the most resilient stands you’ll ever see on the floor as they came back to stun No. 10 Rockhurst in four games.
Zanolli was a driving force in the comeback effort as she averaged 10.50 assists per set and helped the Cavaliers eventually hit .215 in the upset win.
The 5-10 Zanolli was credited with 48 assists on an efficient 53 setting attempts, good for a percentage over .900.
She also averaged 1.40 digs and a half block per set as Walsh remains in the driver’s set at the top of the East Division.
Zanolli also contributed 26 assists against Lewis and had 31 more vs. Saginaw Valley State. She is currently third in the league in assists per set, averaging 10.48 on the year.
Walsh played against the Hawks, a traditionally strong program from the GLVC that makes the NCAA Championship bracket seemingly on an annual basis. The Cavaliers also were tasked with taking on No. 20 Lewis, another GLVC school, while also playing Saginaw Valley State from the GLIAC.
