Between players with last names, that end in “os”, (Pradillos, Hoyos, Riveros), it is an assortment of riches along the front line for the Fighting Scots attacking in the offensive end.
Hoyos led all players during the past week with six points that included a pair of goals and a pair of assists.
He scored two goals and assisted one other in OVU’s 6-0 blanking against Kentucky Wesleyan. Hoyos scored the first goal of regulation in the 32nd minute, which turned out to be an eventual game winner.
Hoyos also pitched in an assist in a rematch against Trevecca. He helped out on the Fighting Scots’ third goal of the game in the 70th minute from a scoring strike by Nicolas Rodriguez.
He currently ranks second in the Great Midwest in goals (9), points (20), goals per game (0.82) and points per game (1.82).
