The Dragons are breathing their fire as winners of 11 straight and currently stand as leaders in the crowded West Division.
Now at 13-3 in the program’s first year with the Great Midwest, Tiffin extended an impressive win streak that began on August 31. To complete a perfect month of September, the Dragons will be tested this week against last year’s co-division champs Findlay (at home) and Hillsdale (away).
Huffman was spectacular on the floor in the wins against Walsh, Ohio Dominican and Ohio Valley, as Tiffin swept all three contests in straight sets.
Among all players in the league for the past week, she was second in hitting percentage (.565), tied for third in kills (4.11 per set) first in blocks (2.11) and first in points (5.61 per set).
Huffman locked down the middle with 37 kills and just two errors on 62 attack attempts. She also averaged 2.22 digs per game.
Eight of Huffman’s 19 blocks from the past week were in solo fashion and she also added a pair of service aces.
Huffman is a big reason why the Dragons are among the league’s best up front, ranking second in opponent hitting percentage and blocks. She is the current league leader in blocks and is top 10 in hitting percentage (3rd), points (3rd) and kills (10th).
