As is the case with most of the West Virginia landscape, Haynes ran through rugged terrain in the hills at the 4K Golden Bear Invitational hosted by West Virginia Tech.
Haynes earned her second conference career weekly honor with a runner-up placing in a time of 15:34.30, an average of 6:15.90 per mile.
Haynes guided the Senators to a third-place finish as a team and was less than one second off the winning time by Bailey Knowles of Concord.
Haynes is a senior leader for the rising D&E women’s cross country program, which was picked in the top half (sixth) of the preseason coaches poll.
