Sherman stood out from the pack in Findlay’s final two regular-season contests as the Oilers blitzed Alderson Broaddus and Davis & Elkins by a combined score of 47-3.
Sherman collected her second offensive weekly conference honor by netting 17 points, a total that included 10 goals and seven assists. She took 21 shots, 17 of which were on target.
Sherman has emerged as one of the league’s premier offensive threats and will be among a handful of players to watch as the conference tournament starts Thursday.
She also contributed with seven ground balls and caused three opponent turnovers on the defensive end of the field.
Sherman had four goals and four assists vs. AB and six goals and three assists vs. D&E. She averaged 8.50 points per game in both contests.
Sherman concluded the regular season ranking second in the conference in points (81) and points per game (4.76). She was also second in both assists (32) and assists per game (1.88) and is seventh in goal scoring.
