Mahon channeled his inner Jose Altuve with a flurry of hits in the middle Senators’ lineup as D&E completed a three-game divisional sweep vs. Cedarville.
The junior slugger was 11-for-13 at the plate for a gaudy .843 batting average with a home run, double, eight RBI and six runs scored in just the three contests.
He had a pair of four-hit games and a three-hit effort to close the weekend.
In game one against the Yellow Jackets, he was 4-for-5 with three RBI and both extra-base hits. To start the doubleheader the following day, Mahon was a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI.
The series finale included more of the same production with a 3-for-4 line in the box score with two RBI three runs scored.
Mahon’s slash line improved to .357/.643/.472 with his offensive outburst. He is ranked ninth among all players in the league in batting average. Mahon has also slugged nine home runs to go with 43 RBI.
