Bissett also played a large part in the Hillsdale women’s team taking the conference championship. The junior made quick work of her opponents in the tournament starting with the No. 4 Findlay in the semifinals.
She and doubles partner Kamryn Matthews were in control of the whole time against Kaylee Davis and Hannah Essick as they took down the Oilers pairing, 8-1.
She also matched up against Davis in singles play and after taking the first set 6-0, the Chargers won the match leaving the second set unfinished.
In the championship finale against Walsh, Bissett also paired with Matthews to take down Sofia Khairutdinova and Parvanee Karimpour and blanked them 8-0.
She also took home the first singles victory of the day as she defeated Karimpour again 6-2, 6-1, in straight sets with the Chargers taking the match 5-1 to earn their first women’s tennis conference championship in the Great Midwest.
