Delp was a key contributor for the Chargers all season and that continued in the conference tournament as he picked up his second honor of the season.
He started off in Owensboro taking on Tristram Spitsnaugle (Davis & Elkins) and after taking the first set, 6-2, he was well on his way to winning the second set, but the Chargers had sealed the point of decision.
He also paired up with John Ciraci to take on Spitsnaugle again as well as Andrew Shand in a doubles match for an 8-3 win as the top-seeded Chargers blanked the Senators in semifinal action.
The championship match was no different for the Chargers as this time they faced off against No. 3 Walsh. Delp also won his doubles match to get an early point on the board in favor of Hillsdale.
He then clinched the victory for Hillsdale, getting the final point in singles action against Rodrigo Garcia by taking him down 6-1, 6-0. The point of decision officially clinched the championship trophy for the Hillsdale men’s program.
