For lack of better terminology, the lefty-hitting Czech went on a power binge, belting five home runs in just four games to jolt the Walsh offense.

The Cavaliers went 3-1 over the past week, including a pair of league victories against Findlay and an out-of-conference win against Notre Dame (OH).

Czech slugged a pair of home runs in separate games against each opponent and drove in 12 while going 9-for-18 at the plate with seven runs scored. He slugged 1.333 and sported an on-base percentage of .550.

Czech ripped a pair of two-run shots in the fourth and eighth innings against Notre Dame (OH), recording five RBI in the game while going 3-for-4.

He left the yard for a solo blast in the first game of a three-game series against Findlay and followed that up with a 2-for-5 effort with two RBI to start Sunday’s doubleheader.

Czech launched two more home runs at the expense of the Oilers, a two-run bomb in the first inning and another two-run deep fly in the sixth as the Cavaliers won 8-6.

Czech is now second in the conference in home runs only to Kentucky Wesleyan’s Joseph Burke (13). He’s currently leading the Great Midwest in total bases and is sixth in the league in batting average (.404), fourth in hits (42) and is third in doubles (12) and RBI (36).
