Whittemore has been the model of consistency for Trevecca this year, as he leads the conference in average scoring per 18 holes with a 71.2 in nine rounds played this year.
This past week was no exception as he won the Findlay Spring Invite by two strokes to lead Trevecca to a tie for sixth in the meet hosted by the Oilers.
He shot a first-round 69 (-3) followed by a 71 (-1) in the second round. The first round marked his third round this season shooting at least under a 70.
Trevecca has been strong as a team as well as they lead the Great Midwest in team scoring average with a 297.0 per round, which is an entire stroke ahead of Malone with one more round scored.
He also has the lowest round this season and in conference history with an 8-under par 64in the first round of the Mississippi College Invite.
