Jones halted what had become a 12-game win streak for North Division contender and No. 15-ranked Ohio Dominican with a strong start to help KWC split a doubleheader.
In a battle of Panthers vs. the Panthers, Jones tossed 5.2 innings and struck out six in the 5-2 KWC win.
Jones gave up just two earned runs scattered on 10 hits to improve to 2-4 on the spring. He received the winning decision as Alex Franzen recorded the final four outs to help beat ODU.
Jones outdueled a former pitcher of the week from the North Division in righty Matt Kittelberger.
Jones has appeared in seven games this spring with five starts. He has 22 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched for KWC.
