Myers was a national qualifier for the indoor season as the Great Midwest features tremendous depth in the men’s throwing events.
He’s off to a great start for the outdoor season and recorded another provisional mark at the Amy Adams Memorial while breaking the conference record in the hammer throw.
Teammate James Miller also broke the conference record in the shot put; Myers now ranks third nationally among all qualifiers at this point in the outdoor season. He tossed a distance of 60.16m (197’4”).
This is Myers’ second weekly conference honor of 2017-18 following field athlete of the week status during the indoor season.
