The Oilers women’s lacrosse program, like just about every other intercollegiate sport at Findlay, is red hot and rolling through the early portion of the non-conference schedule after beating Wingate, Coker and Charleston, in the past seven days.
All three games were on an East Coast road swing and the Oilers outscored the three opponents by a combined score of 50-18.
UF’s defensive unit has yet to allow double-digit goals scored by either of its four opponents.
The defense includes last week’s defensive player of the week Brittany Stephens and Fury, a senior leader who had an assist vs. Coker and collected three ground balls on the week.
Findlay’s next game this week is the conference opener against preseason coaches poll favorite Lake Erie on Saturday, a matchup that could prove to be crucial as postseason seeding develops.
