Sophomore - Forward

Mehmet Dogan has been named G-MAC Men’s Soccer Athlete of the Week to open the 2013 season. In the teams opening contest against Westminster College (PA), Dogan scored three times. In the 4-0 win over Westminster, Dogan scored what proved to be the game-winner in the fifth minute of the game, later scoring in the 50th and 60th minutes.
The victory was revenge for a 4-1 loss to Westminster in September 2012. Last season as a freshman, Dogan led the team with 18 points, to go seven goals which tied for the team lead and he was second with four assists on a team that went 9-6.
Early in the season, Mehmet is tied for the league lead in points and goals, despite playing in just one contest, which allows him to sit atop the league in points per game and goals per game.
