Moran was the offensive catalyst for the Griffins against Roberts Wesleyan, scoring four goals and assisting three others in the 18-12 SHU win.
He was credited with the efficient seven points on just nine shots taken while also recording three ground balls.
Moran had the hat trick in the first period alone as the Griffins took a 4-2 lead. Seton Hill took a 10-3 lead going into the break. He assisted the first score of the second half as the Griffins began to pull away up by as many as eight goals.
Moran now has 15 points in just three games, including nine goals and six assists. He is the current league leader in assists and is tied for the lead in goals with teammate John Miller and Wheeling Jesuit’s Dereck Downs.
Moran also currently ranks 16th nationally among all Division II players in points per game (4.67). In the Great Midwest’s short history, he now ranks first all-time among all players in total points scored with 68 (32 G, 34 A).
