For the 10th time in her career, Perry was named athlete of the week for either the indoor or outdoor season with another eye-opening effort at the Hillsdale Wide-Track Classic.
Perry auto qualified for nationals with an 8.24 clocked in the 60-meter hurdles, the new top time in Division II this season. She also met the USA Indoor Championships ‘A’ qualifying standard that will be held in Albuquerque, N.M., Feb. 16-18.
Perry’s time is 0.16 of a second quicker than Courtney Nelson (Pittsburg St.) and Ashlea Maddex (Cal State Los Angeles).
Perry set a new school record and conference record with her finals run. Her preliminary time was the fifth-best in conference history.
Perry now owns indoor conference records in the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles and long jump.
