Williams had a strong performance this past weekend at the SPIRE Midwest Open with a new conference record to his credit.
Williams ran in the 200-meter dash and finished second in the event with a time of 21.98, which is the fastest in conference history. He broke the record previously set by Kentucky Wesleyan’s James Glenn by almost three tenths of a second.
He also placed fifth with the 4x400-relay team at the invitational alongside Bryce Ostheimer, Solomon Yoder and Brandyn Neal. Their time of 3:24.08 is the second-best time in the conference to this point in the season.
