A recent NCAA All-American in cross country, McIntyre made a splash with a new Great Midwest 3K record at the Wolverine Invitational with an abundance of Division I competition.
She would finish 12th in the event with a provisional time of 9:49.64, a standard that now ranks second overall in NCAA Division II this season.
McIntyre clipped the previous conference record of 9:50.28 held by Cedarville’s former All-American Olivia Esbenshade (2/10/17).
The event was won by former Hillsdale legend Emily Oren, who was a seven-time NCAA champion and two-time NCAA DII Track Athlete of the Year.
McIntyre is a three-time NCAA All-American in track, the indoor 3K and the outdoor 5K and 10K -- all done last year as a junior. She also helped deliver a conference championship in cross country in the Chargers first season of competition in the G-MAC.
