Dixon has been knocking on the door for weekly conference honors as his collegiate career has gotten off to a fast start in the pool for the Pioneers.
He continued that rookie-year progression at the Malone-hosted invitational with five other schools competing.
Dixon swam in six different events with a pair of runner-up finishes, two third-place efforts and a tandem of relay events that resulted in fourth. He recorded the second-best marks in the conference in four different events including the 200 freestyle, 100 butterly, 200 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay.
His time in the 50-yard butterfly (23.81) also ranks tops in the conference through the season to date.
Dixon placed second in the 200 free and 100-yard butterfly.
