In a 14-team event, Ellingson stood out with three conference-best times in the current season along with a first-place finish in Chicago.
She was first in the 100-yard breaststroke and met the NCAA “B” qualifying standard by more than a second with a time of 1:03.20. The NCAA “B” standard is 1:04.65.
Her other conference-best times included competing as a member of the Chargers’ 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. HC would finish third and second among all teams at the event, respectively.
Ellingson also placed runner-up in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.55, second-best among all swimmers from the Great Midwest and Mountain East Conference this year.
She would cap off her weekend outing with a top-10 finish in the 200 IM and a time of 2:12.20.
