Van Wienen earned divisional weekly honors for the second time in her rookie season as the Chargers extended their conference-record win streak to 17 straight.
The previous-best win streak around the conference in nearly six years of league history was nine straight victories done five different times since 2012. The Chargers went through the entire month of October undefeated
Hillsdale improved to 24-3 overall and 14-2 in the league after blanking West opponents Kentucky Wesleyan and Trevecca with sweeps.
Van Wienen was a force up front along with her teammates in both matches while hitting .438 and averaging 4.17 kills per set.
Van Wienen had 14 kills and four blocks against Kentucky Wesleyan in three sets. She added 11 kills, a pair of service aces and another block in the win against Trevecca.
Hillsdale was receiving votes for the second week in a row in the AVCA Top-25 Poll. The Chargers are also ranked third in the first edition of the NCAA Midwest Region Rankings.
