Gordon played two games this week and forms part of a feared offensive trio with Alli Pavlik and Lauren Bates on the Panthers’ front line. She earned her first career Great Midwest weekly offensive honor.
In the first game against Findlay, Gordon put up a hat trick as well as an assist for seven points. She started off the scoring less than two minutes into the game and assisted a goal in the 10th minute to Susan D’Isidoro to beat the Oilers’ defense.
Less than 30 seconds later, she put in a goal unassisted to put the Panthers up 3-0. She rounded out her day in the 48th minute completing her hat trick in the 48th minute, with this one also being unassisted.
The quarterfinal conference tournament matchup also featured a goal from Gordon. With the second-seeded Panthers already up 1-0 on No. 7 Kentucky Wesleyan, Gordon put the finishing touches on the victory by putting up a goal in the 87th minute to send ODU into the semis.
Gordon’s eight goals have her tied for ninth in the conference among the league leaders.
