Against Tiffin, who defeated Cedarville 5-4, Heydt won her match in the #5 singles spot against Nicole Ardner 6-0, 6-0. Heydt then teamed with Lily Schuler to win the #2 doubles match against Chelsea Beck and Abigail Schuster, 9-8. Tied at 8-8, they dominated the tiebreaker 7-0 to win the match.

In the Yellow Jackets conference match against Central State, a 9-0 win, Heydt won 6-0, 6-0 out of the #2 singles position and 8-0 in #2 doubles action. In singles action this season, Heydt has a team high 13 wins, as she holds a record of 13-4, winning her last six in a row. In doubles action she is 11-3 and tied for the team lead in wins with Lily Schuler, her most recent doubles partner. The pair is 2-0 on the season together.

Note: The G-MAC, in its inaugural season, sponsors women’s tennis currently with three programs (Cedarville, Central State, and Ursuline), and will expand to include at least six programs next year. With an expanded season, the Athlete of the Week honors will cover both the fall and spring sessions.
